Graphene infused trail shoe breaks new ground in tech
Inov-8’s new Trailfly Ultra G 300 uses Graphene, the new wonder material in two ways. Graphene is the building blocks of Graphite, essentially a single atom thick lattice work which is 200 times stronger than steel. British running shoe brand Inov-8 have the deal to use Graphene before anyone else in athletic footwear. Firstly, their G-Fly graphene infused foam midsole is reported to provide 25 percent more energy return than other leading foam midsoles, resisting breakdown over use meaning your shoes feel snappy and fast for longer – every runners’ dream! The Trailfly G 300 also uses Graphene in its ‘Graphene-Grip’ rubber outsole. Developed to increase grip over a wide variety of trail surfaces as well as resist wear and tearing – a common issue for runners using lug pattern outsole shoes on harsh rocky terrains. The rest of the shoe is designed to hold the foot firmly, with a spacious toe-box to allow long distance ultra-marathon to expand. Expect to see these on trails everywhere this summer. Available soon, get over to Inov-8.com to register for pair. At £170 the new Graphene tech for your feet isn’t cheap, but this is the leading edge of running shoe technology.
