Gregory Packs use stealth chemical tech for a cleaner adventure
We love tech a 2Fifty9, especially that which can be seen by our fellow active outdoor friends, but sometimes tech is harder to see. In the case of Polygiene’s new OdorCrunch ‘Stay’s Fresh’ anti-bacterial odor-killing tech, it’s a hidden tech, that we’re excited about. To be honest, it’s more a tech that you can (or rather can’t smell) rather than see. For example, the ventilated FreeFloat pack stabilization harness on the new Gregory Packs Katmai 55 pack is made from fibers that have been treated to inhibit the growth of smelly sweat bacteria – the sort that normally infuses hiking biking, and climbing packs over time rendering them ‘stink bags’ – whose fragrant fug would turn a skunk’s nose at twenty paces. Weightless, long-lasting, and eco-friendly, the Polygiene technology is another great example of chemical engineering working for you ‘by stealth’ to make your active outdoor experiences feel (and smell) more of mother nature. Before you eye-roll and mutter environmentally woke comments, the Polygiene OdorCrunch tech is Bluesign and Oeko-Tex approved, and REACH registered. It also won the SOG (Scandinavian Outdoor Group) Sustainability award in 2019, so it’s good for you and the planet. All this goes to underscore the wider journey the Polygiene team is on, to deliver an enhanced, safer, and sustainable environment for anyone who finds their fun in the outdoors. Look out for the distinctive orange Polygiene logo on many of the items that you might use at home, work, or on the trail. From cook-wear to water-carrying vessels, to fleeces, jackets, trousers, and backpacks like the award-winning Katmai 55 from Gregory Packs.
