By 2025 The North Face have committed to having all of their apparel product produced from responsibly sourced materials with footwear and equipment by 2030.
That’s an impressively short time line for a company with as large a product line as VF Corp’s, The North Face to make a change as significant as this. In fact, the change at TNF has already begun, as 2022 will see the first collection from The North Face to feature circularity, that is, that the garments are recycled and or are recyclable. This collection will draw together three existing TNF initiatives; Limited Lifetime Warranty, Clothes the Loop and Renewed Collection. Consumers will also notice the new sustainable products will feature new paper packaging that itself is responsibly sourced from FSC managed woodland. New products with more than 75 percent recycled, regenerative, renewable responsibly sourced materials (by weight) will feature a special ‘Exploration Without Compromise’ logo to make it easier for consumers to spot The North Face products that are better for the planet.
