Ridge, maker of the minimalist Ridge Wallet introduced by a father / son team several years back, is doubling down on the content program with the acquisition of Everydaycarry.com, a move reported by EDC's founder and Editor-in-Chief, Bernard Capulong, who joins the Ridge team as EVP of Everyday Carry Operations. Amazing title.
The EDC website covers a lot of ground for an audience that's keen to scope out the latest in wallets, bags, watches, pens, knives, and the like. SimilarWeb reports monthly site visits north of 650k.
It will be interesting to see how and if things change at EDC.com, or if - like the common ownership of Carryology and Bellroy - the site can support the Ridge brand while maintaining editorial independence.
Regardless, it's a smart move by the Ridge team, and a big congrats to Capulong and the EDC squad for their success and next moves.
