UDOG, the new global cycling club for underdog riders
UDOG (short for underdog) is a new global cycling club, but one with a difference. It is designed to appeal and attract riders with a point to prove. Everyone who cycles feels like an underdog from time to time. Some riders feel it more often than others. UDOG is a club for riders who embrace the feeling of being and underdog – and feed off of it. These riders use their position as underdog to channel and focus their desire, drive and passion to ride further, faster and longer than the competition. You can call it an edge, but UDOG club members use their skills, be those mental, physical or tactical to level up against faster, stronger rider riders. To overachieve and set the proverbial cat among the pigeons.
The club began in Italy in 2020, and is growing fast. Like any decent cycling club, it is open to riders of all cycling disciplines road, MTB and cyclocross, and yes there is a UDOG team kit, in fact it’s a pretty awesome kit. There’s a stylish casual apparel line too. The club runs gatherings and events, which are set to grow in number and in geographical spread through 2021 and into 2022.
Alberto Fonte, is the creator of UDOG
“I am a rider, I love to ride fast up hills and try beat other riders, but I have limited power and I’m not a climber – clearly this makes me a natural underdog on the bike. I look around and sense that many riders are like me, who are not aware of the other underdogs on the roads and trails of the world.”
Hopefully UDOG will connect those riders, build a useful community to embrace the group underdog status and have some great fun riding at the same time.
If UDOG sounds like it describes you, then get over to their website and sign up to the club.
