SOG Kiku XR LTE

Every pocket or pack needs one of these

Seattle’s SOG have been developing class leading knives for thirty-five years. They took their existing Kiku drop point folder, an everyday carry model that you just can’t help but love and made it better. By better we mean lighter, and sexier. SOG (Named after Vietnam era Special Forces unit - SOG stands for: Studies and Observations Group) wanted their 3 in blade, fully ambidextrous Kiku XR LTE to be lighter and so good to hold, you’d literally go looking for opportunities to carry it and use it. But more on that in a second, knives live or die on the quality of their steel and the CTS HXP steel in the Kiku’s blade is premium and ready for a life of hard cutting. Durability and edge holding are both given. The operation is incredibly smooth, real one-handed operation. The lock is solid tested to 1500lbs of force, so it won’t budge, no matter what. SOG dropped weight by removing the steel liners and spacers in the G10 handle and replaced them with carbon fibre, dropping the weight by 1.5oz of the regular Kiku XE, that 25% of the total weight.
