Plant based Himalayan energy drink

It’s not easy to find a foothold in the FMCG food sector, but new player Tenzing are climbing their way up the ladder. The founders spent time talking with native Nepalese Sherpas and trying their own energy sustaining brew, made only from natural ingredients. Named after Sherpa Tenzing, part of the first duo to scale Mount Everest in 1952, their version uses Guarana, lemon juice, Himalayan rock salt, Beet sugar, Indian gooseberries, green tea and green coffee with natural spring water to create a very clean and clean tasting drink that keeps the proverbial lights on, thanks to natural caffeine and all the electrolytes, anti-oxidants and minerals you’ll need when sweating hard during exercise. The original flavour has just been joined by two delicate tasting options of Raspberry and Yuzu (a Japanese citrus fruit) or Blackberry.

Tenzing aren’t just good for you, they’re good the planet too, with the small company of eleven employees being completely carbon neutral. They also give 5% of their profits to ecological projects, which is a great commitment for a relatively small company. But that’s not all, they have also just implemented a program to collect all the litter on the Everest trail, the beautiful Himalayan path that every visitor to the great mountain must traverse, bit which unfortunately been sullied by man with a lot of litter, though thanks to Tenzing that will soon end.

A great, ‘good for you’ energy drink with some solid ecological chops.
